Welcome to my blog site!! I had another blog but I decided to get rid of it. It no longer reflects the person I am or the person I have
been striving to become. So here is the new me, the new blog, but the same girl with the same smile.

I'm 23 years old, graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in English. I'm currently applying to graduate programs for a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. I've been writing since the 3rd grade. Since then, I've always felt the need, the desire and the nudge to drown countless pieces of paper in my emotions. Lord willing, I'll get accepted into a great school where I can begin working on the book I've always wanted to put out. My favorite genre of writing is poetry, it has always been my first love, but recently I've acquired I love for creative non-fiction. My dream is to use my writing to touch the lives of people all over the world. My experiences are not always unique, they are just a microcosm of the greater human experience; what distinguishes me is how I exploit my experiences through writing. I'd love to write Christian books for women of all ages and I'd love to have a magazine that focused on young women, creativity, and God. If somehow I could put the 3 together I'd be not only happy but blessed. Lastly, I'd like to write my life experiences through a collection of poetry and photographs that I've taken that capture my poems, a memior, and short story collection. There is so much I'd love to say to the world, I pray that the Lord makes a path for me.

God is my foundation and my Friend. At this stage of life I can say with a clean pure heart that I truly would not be where I am without Him. I have been through tragedies by myself and with my family but in the end, His loving hand has always been there to hold onto. He has provided me with an amazing family that loves Him and wants to serve Him as well. God has always been our strength and resource and I know that He always will!
I'm the youngest in my family and the only girl so yes I am protected on all angles lol. Though sometimes I think it's a difficult thing for my family to grasp, I am growing up and am enjoying exploring my independence. Since I graduated I've established myself financially. I love the company I work for, it's a worldwide home and body company and we make almost everything you would need for your house and home and yourself on a daily basis. ((Not sure I can disclose it in a blog so I'll refrain)) I've taken the time to dive into being a servant and I host monthly Sinlge's Bible Studies @ my house. It has become such a passion of mine to see these young people every month, provide food for them, and engage in meaningful topical studies.
That's a quick rundown of who I am and a little bit of what I'm about. I'll post more pictures and things soon...
God bless!
<3 EK
