Yesterday after work I went home and I was eager to get to my bedroom, but when I got there I realized that it looked like a natural disaster site. I couldn't lay down, no way possible. Laundry had to be done, the massive amounts of clothes had to be reorganized in the closet, shoes needed to be put back in boxes and I knew if I didn't walk my 3 miles soon it wouldn't get done. I threw some clothes in the wash and got my clothes changed.
My mother and I walk a 3 mile trail by our house. It's an amazing experience for so many reasons. Primarily because it's become our bonding time. My dad is usually at work and my brother never comes so it gives us girls a chance to talk and laugh together all while pushing each other to be healthy. My mom had major back surgery in November and I am so excited that she can walk with no more pain!! It's truly a blessing. Secondly, this trail starts in the middle of a main road in a town near us. There's a McDonald's, BJs Wholesale Club, a few banks, a few gas stations, and Stop n Shop. But as you walk this trail you notice a river to the left and marshy woods to the right. The busy nature of man made life becomes more distant and the natural beauty of God's creation becomes more near. There is a little family for ducks that we look for each day, there were 5 babies and the two parents, there's a beaver that looks like he weighs 30 lbs (seriously!), a rabbit, deer, exotic looking birds, and fish. It amazes me how God keeps order in the midst of our hectic lifestyles. Walking on that trail gives me a sense of solace. There still is so much beauty in the world, we just have to make time to see it.

After I went home I and showered and then did more laundry, clean up my bedroom and had dinner. By that time I didn't have much energy for anything. So, for the first time in weeks I just laid on my bed enjoying doing NOTHING. It was great!
Today is Friday. Pay day ((could be problematic because I'm in the mood to shop)). I want to go to Buffalo Wild Wings and watch the Laker game tonight. Not sure if that will come into fruition. We'll have to see.
Maybe I'll write a little something after lunch. BYE!
